PhD Candidate and Post-Doctoral Research Positions in the framework of a new well-funded Experimental Heat Transfer and Turbomachinery Propulsion Laboratory.
Holder of a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field. The appointment is for one year (with a possible extension to two years).
PhD Candidate Profile
Holder of a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
Solid Background in the following subjects is valuable: Turbomachinery, Heat Transfer and Thermal Management, Thermo-Acoustics, Turbine Cooling and External Flows, Active Flow Control, Experimental Measurement Techniques, CFD.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Labview, Matlab, and expertise in finite element solvers COMSOL, Fluent, CFX and various CAD software may be beneficial.
Candidates are expected to be self-motivated, hardworking, and a team player. The applicants with experimental background will be given preference. High level of English language proficiency is a key factor.
The laboratory is located on campus, close to the city center. We maintain a very friendly environment, which will provide easy adaptation for the selected applicant.
